Hints:

  • Everyone wants the real 1797 map, yet nobody seems to have carried one in 1797. It may be hidden.
  • All the maps show the same coastline, just turned and zoomed differently. Take a screenshot and rotate them so they line up.
  • Spot a fake by finding something that should not exist in 1797, something missing that should be there, or a clash with another map. One error is shared by every fake.
  • Each map uses a theme for its landmarks: lighthouses, animals, monsters and ingredients. Work out what the remaining one has in common.
  • The man in the phone booth and the victim have the same leg tattoo, and both were offered 1200 dollars.
  • The money on the 1927 victim is only an advance, so she may not have delivered anything yet. She was told to meet her client in front of the museum, but she died behind it.
  • One person with a crowbar could not cause injuries that bad. The trough under the pub sign is full of blood, and one horse is soaking wet on a dry day.
  • You only need to say that a beast killed the bosun. The creature guide matters for a different part of the case.
  • Look at the back of the healer’s drawing in 1797, and at the vents inside the museum.
