This walkthrough covers Blaze of Glory, the fifth case of The Lemurian Phoenix DLC for Rise of the Golden Idol. You will find where every word is, hints that get more specific as you go, and the solved scrolls at the end of each section.
Rise of the Golden Idol: Blaze of Glory Walkthrough
Scenario 5: A Victor Rises from the Ashes
There are no words to collect in this case. This DLC has no chapter scroll, so this final case brings the whole story together.
Events Scroll
Hints:
- Two brothers are chained together in a burning hall until the fire dies down. Nobody survives that without a miracle or a trick.
- The palace only agreed because the favoured brother had a backup plan. This is the same hall that hid a secret room in Ascension.
- The survivor has the key to the manacles. The burn marks on the body match the handle of a bunker that was locked.
- Both hands found in the rubble are left hands, and neither has Koi’s tattoo.
- The survivor claims he fell into a trance while praying in the study, which is impossible for a man chained to his brother. The winner may not be one of the brothers.
Timeline and Execution
Hints:
- The film at the cinema is real footage. Ask why a camera was there at all.
- Pravi being saved by a sudden wind is too convenient. So is the timing of every waterfall proclamation.
- The executed magicians’ child has his mother’s nose. Look for that nose among the people you have met.
- The volume V book missing from Koi’s shelf in Ascension shows up again.
- The keypad code behind the waterfall is the same as before. Compare the note Jamati holds with a number pad.
- Jamati’s glasses reflect the mushrooms behind the falls. There is room back there for a person.
Plan Scroll
Hints:
- Most of this follows from the last scroll. Every message Ori heard from the waterfall came from the person hiding behind it.
