Inside the cellar, click the shelves with the items on the right. Pick three items from the shelf, then back out and go through the door that has just opened.

The next room has a statue straight ahead, a door to the right of the statue, and two doors to its left. Go into each room and look at what’s inside:

  • The first room on the right: A rope and a ring above the door. Pulling it opens the door, but only for a short time.
  • The room on the left of the statue: A barrel on the floor.
  • The room to the left of the barrel room: A torchstand, a hole in the wall, and a pile of dirt.

Cellar Item Puzzle

Clicking the statue sends you back to the start, so you can choose three items again.

Hidden achievement (Pest Control): On one visit, pick the Magnet and the Sledgehammer. Use the Magnet on the hole in the wall to get the key. Click the hole again to reveal a mouse, then kill it with the Sledgehammer.

Hint: Choose wisely and play with time.

Solution: You’ll go through the cellar three times, with a different set of items each time.

First trip: Shovel, Magnet, and Matches

  1. Go to the room on the left.
  2. Use the Shovel on the dirt to reveal a box.
  3. Use the Magnet on the hole in the wall.
  4. Use the Key on the box.
  5. Pick up the Torch.
  6. Place the Torch in the stand and light it with the Matches.
  7. Go through the doors in the newly lit room.
  8. Click the second statue.

Second trip: Corkscrew, Empty Bottle, and Matches

  1. Go through the door on the left of the statue.
  2. Use the Corkscrew on the Barrel, then the Empty Bottle.
  3. Use the Matches on the liquid from the Barrel.
  4. Go through the hole in the wall.
  5. Empty the bottle of oil into the stone.
  6. Drag the Matches to it.
  7. Go through the holes to the next statue.
  8. Click it and return.

By now you’ll have seen all the statues and the times linked to them: 5, 8, 10.

Third trip: Hook, Weight, and Sledgehammer

  1. Take the door on the right.
  2. Use the Hook and Weight on the ring attached to the rope.
  3. Hit the broken column on the left until it falls.
  4. Go straight ahead to find the three statues.
  5. Add a timepiece to each of them (any one will do) and set the times to 5, 8, and 10.
