Strange Antiquities: Day 9 Walkthrough

This walkthrough covers Day 9 of Strange Antiquities, the day Jupiter goes missing. It explains the first Catacombs Clue Card, how to rescue the cat and every request.

Strange Antiquities: Day 9 Walkthrough

Day 9, Friday

Locations to visit:

  • The Catacombs, grave 1688: a new object
  • The woods behind Calgarth Hall (25): Bonnie’s exchange
  • The Mary Bell (23): Jupiter

Clue Card

The card shows only an outline, and it matches a gravestone in the Catacombs. Click the second grave from the left in the top row, marked 1688, to get a new pendant. You may notice that Jupiter is missing.

Customer 1: Constance Bader

Hints:

  • Constance wants an Amphisian Talon.
  • The sketch in the entry shows two crescent-shaped scars on a man’s cheek.
  • Look for two severed fingers with very sharp nails that could leave those marks.

Give Constance the severed fingers. You get the book entry for Morgan’s Folly.

Simone Green

Simone gives you a sketch of three symbols and says they relate to the plinths under the counter. You cannot use it yet. Keep it until Day 10.

Customer 2: Francesca Robertson

Francesca asks for the Restful Mether. You identified it on Day 7, so just give it to her. There is no reward.

Bonnie Robertson and Jupiter

If you gave Bonnie Grey’s Grace, she now holds Jupiter for ransom and wants Corvan’s Might, delivered to the woods behind Calgarth. Open the Undermere map and click the trees behind Calgarth Hall (25).

You can use a Diverging Hook on her or give her Corvan’s Might. Achievements are not affected, but the game nudges you toward the Diverging Hook, and you have not identified it yet:

  • The Diverging Hook has one gemstone from each of the three Thaumic branches: Celestial, Diurnal and Individual.
  • Look for a stone figure holding up a headdress set with three stones.
  • The orange stone is Amber (Diurnic, so Diurnal), the turquoise one is Aquamarine (Draedic, so Celestial) and the pale yellow-orange one is Topaz (Wyxic, so Individual).

After your choice you learn that Jupiter is on the Mary Bell. Go to the Mary Bell (23) to rescue him and earn Catnapped, Not Forgotten.

Customer 3: Wyatt Collings

Hints:

  • Wyatt suffers from nightmares. Check the curses booklet.
  • Nightmares point to the Noctic Sight curse. Look up Noctic Sight in the index of Strange Artefacts.
  • It leads to the Moonstone Guardian, which takes the form of a comforting guardian. Think of the object from the Day 7 chest.

Give Wyatt the cat statue. Its stone is a Moonstone. You get the book entry for the Ascus and the Unbound achievement for lifting his curse.

Customer 4: Verona Green

Hints:

  • Verona wants a Sextrum. The entry only says it protects against insanity.
  • Find the symbols for Insanity and Protection in Hermetic Symbology.
  • Look for a bronze object with six spikes.

Give Verona the bronze object with the Insanity symbol in the centre and three Protection symbols around it. You get the book entry for the Fortinance.
