This walkthrough covers Day 1 of Strange Antiquities, your first Thursday behind the counter. It explains every customer request, where to find the map and the first places to explore, and three achievements you can earn before the day ends.
Strange Antiquities: Day 1 Walkthrough
Day 1, Thursday
Eli White, the owner of the shop, leaves you Strange Artefacts, the book that describes every object in the game. You will use it for almost every request. All of today’s requests can be found on the shelves you see from the starting position, so you do not need to scroll left or right.
Locations to visit:
- The Boat Yard (8): book pages and a new object
- The unmarked buildings right of Strange Antiquities (29): three objects
Achievements for Jupiter the Cat
Two achievements involve your cat, Jupiter. You can get them at any point in the game, but they are quick to do now.
- Feline Priorities: pet Jupiter 30 times. You can spread this over several days.
- Mask of Jupiter: wait until Jupiter is sitting up on the counter rather than sleeping (reload the game if he is lying down). Then take the mask from under the counter on the left and put it on his head.
Customer 1: Thomas Pope
Hints:
- Thomas wants a Hunter’s Boon. Read its entry in the book.
- The entry talks about a trophy from a slain beast that grants the power of a predator.
- Look on the left middle shelf for something an animal once had in its mouth. Inner Perception gives you a sense of power.
Give Thomas the tooth: it is the Hunter’s Boon. This earns Business as Usual for your first sale, and you get the book entry for the Selenic Totem.
Customer 2: Jack Hungerford
Optional achievement: before you help Jack, keep handing him wrong objects (the Hunter’s Boon is a safe choice) until your sanity reaches zero. This starts a simple dice game, explained in the Help menu. Win it to get Sanity Restored. The dice game does not count as using a hint.
Hints:
- Jack wants a Shadow Hold. The entry says it is a container.
- Compare the shadow-catcher drawing on the right page with the objects on your shelves.
- Check the lower right shelf, just right of the customer bell.
Give Jack the jar with the shadow-catcher design. You get the book entry for the Sun Bond.
David Chafer’s Letter
The mailman brings a letter about hidden papers at the Boat Yard. To go there you need the map:
- Move down from the counter to the table with the large design and three side drawers.
- Upper left drawer: a wooden tile with a symbol and a note from Eli about objects in the wine cellar next door.
- Middle left drawer: a magnifying glass and a note about Thaumic Fields.
- Right drawer: two objects for the shop and the map of Undermere. Taking the map unlocks the Explore button.
- Open the map and go to The Boat Yard (8). You get the book pages for the Sleep Vessel and the Shinn, plus a new object.
- Explore again and click the unmarked buildings just right of Strange Antiquities (29), as Eli’s note says. Three more objects are waiting there.

Customer 3: Stanley Hume
Hints:
- Stanley wants an Ossic Ring. The entry calls it macabre.
- Holding it up to your ear lets you hear a hiss.
- It sits above the Shadow Hold, in the middle of the middle right shelf. Scent and Sound confirms the hiss.
Give Stanley the ring made of bone. You get the book entry for the Evocant.
Customer 4: Edmund Bishop
Hints:
- Edmund wants a Voice of Cernunnos. The entry says it is bronze.
- The sketch shows Cernunnos wearing one around his neck.
- Look at the far left of the highest shelf, top left. Colour and Composition shows bronze.
Give Edmund the bronze torc. You get the book entry for the Spirit Eye.
End the day. You trace a handcuff symbol and receive your first Clue Card, which you solve on Day 2.
Next: Day 2 walkthrough. Back to the Strange Antiquities walkthrough for every other day.
