Strange Antiquities: Day 16 Walkthrough

Day 16 of Strange Antiquities has one of the hardest Clue Cards in the game. This walkthrough solves it and covers The Twinings, the Wyxic Cord and every request.

Strange Antiquities: Day 16 Walkthrough

Day 16, Friday

Locations to visit:

  • The Catacombs, the tomb at the end of the path on the card: a new object
  • The Twinings (15): a new object

Clue Card

Hints:

  • The card shows a ball of string with a winding line.
  • The line traces the shape of the paths in the Catacombs.
  • Start at the top of the line and follow it to its end on the map.

The path ends at a tomb with five holes, roughly in the middle right of the Catacombs map. Click it for a clay pot.

Customer 1: Marion Lancaster

Hints:

  • Marion wants a Nephroquant. Necromancers wore them in rituals of resurrection.
  • Holding one against bare skin too long causes Braxis.
  • Look at the withered hand with a gold ring. The ring is what you are looking for.

Give Marion the hand with the ring. The hand is withered by Braxis, and the spiral on the ring is the Wicca symbol for rebirth. You get the book entry for the Dread Vivant.

Franklin Underhill

Franklin gives you his card for The Twinings and asks you to visit. Go to The Twinings (15) on the Undermere map to get a new object. As you leave, someone attacks you and you need a Wyxic Cord:

Hints:

  • The Wyxic Cord is a stone object that causes paralysis.
  • It produces a Noctic field, which belongs to the Diurnal branch.
  • Look in the formerly locked area on the left for a stone ring pendant.

Use the stone ring, which carries the Paralysis symbol from the Imbuements section. You escape.

Customer 2: Edmund Bishop

Hints:

  • Edmund wants a Cassander. Its “eyes” focus the mind.
  • It produces a Selenic field rather than a Mentic one.
  • Look for a pendant with two dark green stones.

Give Edmund the pendant. Its stones are Malachite, the stone of sight. You get the book entry for the Weaving Edge.

Customer 3: Gilbert Ames

Gilbert wants a cursed ring cleansed. Reread the Cussic Purifier entry: it cleanses small objects such as rings. Give him the Cussic Purifier. There is no reward.

Customer 4: Lavinia Hawthorne

Hints:

  • Lavinia wants a Griss. It is heated slowly over a flame.
  • It belongs to the Wyxic art.
  • Look for a grey stone figure with white markings, including what look like tears.

Give Lavinia the grey figure. Colour and Composition finds soot on its base, and it produces a Wyxic field. You get the book entry for the Lunima.

Customer 5: Leopold Morris

Hints:

  • Leopold wants to prepare his sword to face a Basilisk. Look up Basilisk in the index.
  • It leads to the Folium. A blade is drawn across it six times in a ritual.
  • Look for an object with marks that look like blade cuts.

Give Leopold the stone hand with marks across its palm. There is no reward.

Francesca Robertson

Francesca drops by briefly with news about her patients. There is no request. End the day.
