This walkthrough covers Day 13 of Strange Antiquities: the Jupiter Clue Card, the castle vaults and the Bishop’s Square, the Wandering Shroud and Barton’s Pitt or Babellia choice.
Strange Antiquities: Day 13 Walkthrough
Day 13, Tuesday
Locations to visit:
- Gleaston Castle, the room with the Jupiter symbol: a new object and the other half of the note
- Gleaston Castle, the vaults: the Bishop’s Square
- Gleaston Castle, Mars in Winter, rising in Summer: a new object
- The Barrows (3): a Wandering Shroud
- The Catacombs, the hall of shields: a new object
Clue Card
Hints:
- The card says the object is marked by Jupiter.
- Find the symbol for Jupiter in Hermetic Symbology. It looks a little like a fancy number 4.
- Look for that symbol on the Gleaston Castle map, near the Ballroom.
Click the room with the Jupiter symbol, just south of the Ballroom. You get a new object and the missing half of the note from Day 8.

The Castle Vaults
Put together, the note says the castle vaults are sealed by a Diurnic Seal. Any object made of silver or gold that produces a Diurnic field will open them. Several objects work, including the Moonstone Guardian and the object from the moon vault on Day 12. Check candidates on the Thaumic Lens if you are unsure.
Go to the vaults at the bottom left of the castle map and use one of these objects. You get an object that cannot be labelled, the Bishop’s Square, and a note that explains it.
Mars in Winter, Rising in Summer
This line has been written on the castle map from the start. The Bishop’s Square now lets you solve it:
- In Hermetic Symbology, look at the Seasons category. Its symbols match the holes on the Bishop’s Square. Note the symbol for Mars too.
- Find the Mars symbol on the castle map.
- Place the Bishop’s Square so the Winter hole sits on the Mars symbol.
- Click the area under the Summer hole.

You get a new object and the Hidden Knowledge achievement.
Customer 1: James Herschel
Hints:
- James wants an Acumenical. The sketch shows reminders of death, such as a skull and an hourglass.
- It is a receptacle, and an empty one pulls at the threads of your mind.
- Look for a wooden box with an hourglass on it.
Give James the wooden box. Inner Perception feels like a tug at the back of your skull. You get the book entry for the Shadow Anchor.
The Wandering Shroud
David Chafer brings Barton’s letter about where to find a Wandering Shroud. Follow it to The Barrows (3) on the Undermere map and use the Spirit Vault there. You capture a Wandering Shroud and earn Ethereal Encounter.
Now go back to the hall of shields in the Catacombs and use the Spirit Vault on the sarcophagus. A second lock asks for the light of the sun: use the Sun Bond. You receive a very ominous object.
Customer 2: James Herschel
Hints:
- James returns for a Truth Conduit, used to distort and deceive.
- It makes a gentle sound.
- Find the Deception symbol in Hermetic Symbology.
Give James the figure with a large headdress and four golden earrings, which carries the Deception symbol. Scent and Sound picks up a soft tinkling when you move it. You get the book entry for the Abrasive Mether.
Customer 3: Evelyn Bennett
Evelyn wants something to cure her apathy and mentions the “Grace of Grey”. Give her Grey’s Grace. There is no reward.
Customer 4: Barton Potter
Barton offers a choice between a Pitt and a Babellia. Give him the Babellia to keep one of the endings open. Identify both first:
- Pitt: made of three materials that stand for the earth, the sun and death, and it produces a formless Thaumic Field. The large, frightening object in the top left corner fits: it is made of clay, gold and bone, and it shows no field on the lens.
- Babellia: the markings on it look like a Mentic field pattern. It is the large stone with a crescent moon on top.
Give Barton the Babellia. Instead of a book entry, he gives you a new object.
Next: Day 14 walkthrough. Back to the Strange Antiquities walkthrough for every other day.
