Strange Antiquities: Day 6 Walkthrough

Day 6, Tuesday

Locations to visit:

  • Gleaston Castle, first floor, next to the spiral staircase: a new object

Clue Card

Hints:

  • The card shows a staircase and gives directions: up the stairs, left, then left again, and the second door on the right.
  • The directions are for Gleaston Castle.
  • The second “left” only applies once you reach the end of the path, not on the stairs in the round central room.

Click the first floor room with the symbol in the upper left, next to the spiral staircase. You get a new object.

Customer 1: Helena Appleton

Hints:

  • Helena wants a St. John’s Anvil. Its design looks like the plant drawn in the entry.
  • It dampens sound.
  • It is the second object from the right desk drawer on Day 1.

Give Helena the pendant with the leaves. Scent and Sound shows that sounds are muffled near it. You get the book entry for Grey’s Grace.

Customer 2: Barton Potter

Hints:

  • Barton wants an Elva Stone. It uses a planetary metal tied to the Selenic discipline.
  • Hermetic Symbology says Selenic means “of the moon”, and the planetary metal for the Moon is silver.
  • Remember that one object can be made of more than one material.

Give Barton the large stone with two crescent moons. Colour and Composition shows the moons are silver. Barton gives you a new object in return.

Verona Green

Verona drops off the book entry for the Ambra.

Customer 3: Frances Mason

Hints:

  • Frances wants a Cussic Purifier. A small object soaks in a strong liquid such as barley spirit or vinegar.
  • Look for a bottle with green liquid and a cross symbol on its label.
  • Hermetic Symbology lists that cross as the symbol for Vinegar.

Give Frances the green bottle. Scent and Sound reveals something rattling inside. You get the book entry for the Valent.

Simone Green’s Alcove Key

Simone gives you a note for the three plinths below the middle of the counter. It asks for a Horned Shackle, an Evocant and something to do with the moon, in that order.

  1. Place the Horned Shackle on the left plinth.
  2. Place the Evocant on the middle plinth.
  3. Place the Selenic Totem on the right plinth. Several objects relate to the moon, but this is the one that works.

A secret alcove opens with four new objects and two more wooden tiles like the one from the desk drawer. Keep the tiles with the first one.

Customer 4: Jim Wolfe

Hints:

  • Jim wants a Hearing Charm. It amplifies sound.
  • It takes the form of an animal known for its hearing. The hare in the sketch is a red herring.
  • Look on the upper left shelf, next to the Selenic Totem.

Give Jim the bat pendant. Scent and Sound makes everything louder and clearer. You get the book entry for the Veiled Phenn.
