Day 15, Friday

The woman in the jade mask asks for help today. Widow’s Woe or Dead Man’s Fingers splits every route into two different endings, so check the ending table on Day 16 before you choose.

Locations to visit:

  • P29, west of White Scar by the river (overnight card): a new plant
  • P32, White Scar Cave (needs Farmer’s Worry): two new fungi

Starting Card

Hints:

  • Only the upside-down part of the card matters.
  • It says west of White Scar, by the river.

White Scar is at P32. The river square to the west is P29, where a new plant grows.

Mailman: Amos Duncan’s Cave Letter

Hints:

  • Amos remembers a cave somewhere east of Arnside.
  • A boulder blocks the way. Look for a plant that gives great strength.

Travel to White Scar Cave at P32 and use Farmer’s Worry to move the boulder. Inside you find two new fungi.

Customer 1: Simone Green or Faye Swift

Hints:

  • Who comes in depends on your earlier choices.
  • Faye has trouble remembering things.

If you gave Simone Lisle of Neptune, she comes to warn you about the Elixir of Control. Otherwise Faye visits and needs Sour Bandy.

Customer 2: Alden Gregory

Hints:

  • Alden wants an elixir for his dying wife. You picked up the recipe at Milton Forbes’ shop.
  • Brew the Elixir of the Damned from its three plants.

Brew the Elixir of the Damned from Caballia, Dranthium and Henchuck.

Hints:

  • Althea names the plant herself.

Customer 4: The Woman in the Jade Mask

Hints:

  • She wants help against the creature she is supposed to control.
  • One plant brings fear, the other sharpens the mind. Decide which ending you are aiming for.

Give her Widow’s Woe or Dead Man’s Fingers. Endings I, III, VI and VIII need Widow’s Woe; Endings II, IV, V and VII need Dead Man’s Fingers.

Customer 5: Hollis Gibb

Hints:

  • Hollis asks for Pixie-Lamps, a nickname listed in the book.

Depending on your choices, Faye may come in to ask you to meet her at the Daughters stone circle on Saturday.
