Day 1, Friday

Watering your plants with the watering can fills the Will to Explore meter, and so does handing customers the right plant. You need a full meter for every trip on the map, so water the plants whenever you are short.

Locations to visit:

  • C20, Ambleside: two new Specimen Book entries (Gilded Dendra and Wandering Bue)
  • M21, hills north-east of Backbarrow: Storian
  • G5, woods south of Gosforth: Lady of Summer

Letter from Simone and the Drawer Note

Hints:

  • Simone mentions the town where her library is. Find it by name on the map.
  • The drawer note describes a spot in the hills north-east of a small town in the south of the map.

Travel to Ambleside at C20 for two new book entries, then to M21, north-east of Backbarrow, to bring home Storian. Once a clue is solved it gets a tick, and you can file it in the archive compartment of the drawer.

Customer 1: Victoria Gray

Hints:

  • She wants a flower with bright red petals around a yellow centre.
  • Its name is in her request. Match the description in the book, then check the plant on your shelves.

Mailman: Amos Duncan’s First Letter

Hints:

  • Amos points to the corner of a wood just below Gosforth.

Travel to G5 to collect Lady of Summer.

Customer 2: Gilbert Ames

Hints:

  • He offers Phennet in exchange for a plant with curly leaves.
  • The flowers are a vivid blue.

Trade him Lemon Dandy.

Hints:

  • Faye wants something that helps her sleep without bad dreams.

Hints:

  • This time it is not a flower but a mushroom.
  • You got its book entry from the library trip to Ambleside.

The Card on the Shelf

Hints:

  • Before you end the day, look closely at the top shelf of plants.

A small card sits on the upper shelf. Pick it up and keep it: it is part of a desk puzzle on Day 8.
