Umbada, the trader with a soft spot for ducks, lives on a small islet with no bridge or boat leading to it. You can still get there, but only with the right movement tools and a long, well-timed leap from the Mausoleum roof.
The trip pays off. The island holds the keys to the trader’s house, a Filthy Lootbag, a silver skull, and a yellow chest you can open once Umbada hands you its keys.
What You Need to Reach the Island
This is the islet in question. If you have spotted it while exploring, there is a way across. It takes some movement tech and a few resources.

Before you try the jump, make sure you have:
- All air dashes: There are 5 in total, and you need every one.
- A sword with a lunge alt-attack: The Rusty Sword works, though you probably won’t still have it at this point. The Ancient Sword, sold by the trader after you evolve the Rusty Sword, and the Pandora Sword also work. Other swords may have a lunge too, but that is not confirmed.
- Access to the Mausoleum roof: The jump starts from there.
Getting onto the Mausoleum Roof
Your first target is the window shown below. It is easy to reach if you have followed the game’s normal progression.

- Go to the spot in the picture. It is only a few steps from the entrance you use after finishing the Grand Archives.
- Climb onto the sarcophagus at the far end of the path.
- Jump and air dash toward the ledge by the window.
- From the window, jump out and air dash twice while curving to the left. Use extra dashes if you drift off course. You will land in an opening guarded by a couple of basic skeletons.

The way up to the roof is clear from that point.

Making the Leap from the Roof
Once you are on the roof, head to its eastern edge.

On your first visit, a miniboss waits in the middle of the four braziers. It drops the Green Sealstone (the name may differ slightly in game). If you are only now picking it up, come back much later. You won’t have enough air dashes for the jump yet.
From the edge, drop onto the roof platform behind the cross. This is where the big jump starts. Take a proper running start.

Crossing to the Island
The idea is simple: jump and air dash toward the island. The hard part is that 5 air dashes on their own can leave you a little short of the shore unless your timing is perfect. You need to stay airborne as long as you can. There are two ways to do it:
- Space out your dashes: Spread them across the flight instead of using them all at once.
- Dash, then lunge: Use your air dashes quickly, then keep using the lunge alt-attack of the Rusty, Ancient, or Pandora Sword mid-air as many times as you can.
The lunge pushes you forward, but it also drags you down, so start with as much height as possible. For a small extra lift, quick swap to a Cestus in mid-air and use its uppercut.
Loot on the Island
The island is fairly small. These are the main items to look for:
- Trader’s house keys: Dropped by a miniboss on the island.
- Filthy Lootbag: Obtained the usual way.
- Silver skull: Likely hidden behind the shed.
- Yellow chest: On one of the cliffs. Umbada gives you its keys after you unlock his front door.
