Gamble With Your Friends: Shop Items Guide

The shop sells 15 items, known as Sketchy Items. Below is what each one costs, what it does, and whether it’s worth your tickets.

Gamble With Your Friends: Shop Items Guide

Key terms

  • Profit: the amount you win beyond your bet. Most buffs multiply only this part, not the bet you get back.
  • Upgrade: an item that changes your stats until the day ends. It affects only the player who uses it and resets once you go back to the lobby.
  • Stake Holder multiplier (S): begins at 1.0 and rises by 0.5 with every Stake Holder you use. Several items get stronger as it grows.

Upgrades

Upgrades in Gamble With Your Friends

Gambler’s Confidence, Insurance, Bonus Draw, and Stake Holder all behave the same way. Use one during a day, not in the lobby, and its bonus stays with you until the day is over. You can stack several copies.

Gambler’s Confidence (7 tickets)

Every copy raises your profit multiplier by 0.5×. One copy puts you at 1.5×, two at 2.0×, and so on. There is no limit.

  • Only profit gets multiplied. At 2.0×, a $100 bet that would normally pay $200 pays $300 instead: your $100 back plus $200 profit.
  • It has no effect when you lose.

Insurance (7 tickets)

Refunds part of every loss. Each copy covers 25% of whatever isn’t covered yet, so every new copy adds less than the one before.

CopiesTotal loss refundedAdded by this copy
125%+25%
243.8%+18.8%
357.8%+14.1%
468.4%+10.5%
576.3%+7.9%

Verdict: one or two copies are worth it. Beyond three, you pay full price for a small gain.

Insurance also adds to the Microphonee’s loss protection. See the Microphonee section below.

Bonus Draw (8 tickets)

Each copy gives you a 10% chance to earn 1 ticket every time you win a bet. Ten copies reach 100%, so any copy past that is wasted.

Verdict: one copy returns 0.1 tickets per win on average. You would need about 80 wins in a single day just to recover the 8 tickets it cost. It has the highest base price in the shop and is usually the worst buy.

Stake Holder (6 tickets)

Each copy adds 0.5 to S. On its own it does nothing. Its value comes from the six items it boosts:

ItemEffect of SS = 1.0S = 1.5S = 2.0
Devil’s ReelA win pays last profit × 2 × S2×3×4×
Angel’s ReelA win returns loss × S100%150%200%
TaserMax bet after a full charge5×7×9×
Golden ChipFree bet = max bet × S1×1.5×2×
CameraBanked profit per capture × S1×1.5×2×
MicrophoneePicks up your voice more easily–✓✓

Verdict: buy it only on a day you’ll use the reels, the Taser, or the Golden Chip. On those days it’s one of the strongest items in the shop.

Reels

The Reels in Gamble With Your Friends

Both reels spin for 3 seconds and win 65% of the time. When a reel can’t be used, its screen shows “-“.

Devil’s Reel (3 tickets)

A triple-or-nothing gamble on your last winning bet.

  • Win (65%): you receive your last profit × 2 × S as extra.
  • Loss (35%): you lose the same amount as that last profit.
  • That profit must still be in your wallet. If it isn’t, the reel won’t spin.

Expected value: each spin is worth +0.95× your last profit on average at S = 1.0, +1.6× at S = 1.5, and +2.25× at S = 2.0. The odds are firmly on your side. Spin it right after a big win, ideally with Stake Holder active.

The Microphonee’s loss protection doesn’t apply to Devil’s Reel losses.

Angel’s Reel (3 tickets)

Gives you another shot at your last losing bet.

  • Win (65%): you get your loss back × S.
  • Loss (35%): nothing happens. You don’t lose anything more.

Expected value: you recover 65% of the loss on average at S = 1.0, 97.5% at S = 1.5, and 130% at S = 2.0. With two Stake Holders, a loss turns into an expected gain.

Tip: since there’s no risk, keep it for a big loss rather than a small one.

Machine tools

Machine Tools in Gamble With Your Friends

Taser (4 tickets)

Hold use on a machine’s keypad to raise that machine’s max bet until the day ends.

  • A full charge is 10 seconds long and lifts the max bet to 5×. One Stake Holder makes it 7×, two make it 9×.
  • You can release early and keep the leftover charge for a different machine.
  • The higher limit stays on that machine for the rest of the day.

Golden Chip (4 tickets)

Hold use on a keypad to give that machine one free bet at its max. It costs you nothing, even if the bet loses.

  • A machine accepts only one chip.
  • With Stake Holder, the free bet goes past the machine’s max (max × S).
  • If you release the button before the 1-second animation ends, the chip is cancelled.

Taser, Golden Chip, and Stake Holder combo

Use the Taser on a machine before the Golden Chip. The free bet then uses the raised max:

Stake Holders usedMax bet after a full TaserFree Golden Chip bet
05× normal5× normal max
17× normal10.5× normal max
29× normal18× normal max

The result is a free bet worth up to 18 normal max bets, for 4 + 4 tickets plus your Stake Holders.

Team and buff items

Team and Buff Items in Gamble With Your Friends

Drink (5 tickets)

  • Drink it (hold use for 2 seconds): your profit is doubled (2×) for 45 seconds.
  • Throw it: everyone caught in the splash gets 2× profit for 22.5 seconds.
  • Only profit doubles, never your bet. While it’s active, your voice and screen wobble.
  • If the Quota Gun took your mouth, you can’t drink it. Standing in a splash still works.

Tip: when playing solo, drink it and place your largest bets inside those 45 seconds. In a group, throw it at a cluster of friends who are about to bet.

Microphonee (6 tickets)

Once switched on, it runs for 20 seconds and can’t be turned off early. Talking or yelling near it fills a charge meter.

  • A loud voice adds 25% per second, so the meter goes from empty to full in 4 seconds. Silence drains it by 15% per second.
  • At 100%, every nearby player gets 2× profit and full refunds on losses.
  • Every player near it counts, so yelling together stacks.
  • Insurance adds to it: your Insurance percentage counts toward the charge for loss protection. With one Insurance (25%), a 75% charge already makes you lose-proof.
  • Stake Holder helps it hear your voice more easily. The buff itself doesn’t get stronger.

Tip: switch it on, have everyone shout for 4 seconds, then place your biggest bets in the ~16 seconds left while the noise continues.

Holy Statue (7 tickets)

The shop describes it as: “While active, prevents all loss nearby”. Details such as its duration and radius aren’t documented on the wiki yet, so no numbers are given here. Its rebuy increase (+4) is the highest of any item.

Camera (6 tickets)

Banks a share of other players’ winnings.

  • Switch it on and keep a winning player’s head in frame at the moment of the win.
  • Each win it records adds money and combo charge. To cash out, break the camera by throwing it on the ground.
  • If anyone loses while on camera, the entire stored balance is gone. Switch it off when a loss seems likely.
  • No use solo: it can’t record your own wins.

Emergency and luck items

Emergency and Luck in Gamble With Your Friends

Time Machine (6 tickets)

Rewinds the last 60 seconds. The clock gets that time back, and all wins and losses from that window are undone.

  • Use it only if the last minute ended in a net loss. If you were ahead, your winnings are erased too.
  • Using it within the first minute of a day simply resets the timer to the start of the day.
  • Stake Holder has no effect on it.

Quota Gun (5 tickets)

The last resort when the team won’t make quota. Shoot a player to remove an organ for cash. To shoot yourself, aim at your own feet.

  • Every organ pays 1/3 of the day’s quota. One gun can take 3 organs, which covers a full quota.
  • It only works while the team is below quota. Once quota is met, it only knocks things back.
  • Because the payout is a share of the quota, it gets more valuable on later days.
Organ lostPenalty until the day ends
MouthYou can’t talk, drink, or use the Microphonee
EyeThe matching half of your screen goes dark
BodyYou turn into a ball that’s hard to control

Tip: split the shots across the team so no one ends up with all three penalties.

Mystery Box (4 tickets)

Gives you one random shop item. The drop chances are:

DropChance
Quota Gun~11.8%
Camera, Holy Statue, Devil’s Reel, Angel’s Reel, Drink, Golden Chip, Microphonee, Taser, Time Machine~7.9% each
Gambler’s Confidence, Insurance, Bonus Draw, Stake Holder~3.9% each
Two rare joke items~0.8% each

Expected value: the average item inside is worth about 5.2 tickets at base price, so the box pays off on average, as long as you can use what comes out. Upgrades are the rarest drops.

Opening it in the lobby always gives you another Mystery Box.
