Unlock the Bad Ending in Castlevania Belmont’s Curse by walking into Death’s trap while the Cursed Horologium still runs.
Castlevania Belmont’s Curse: Bad Ending Guide
The Bad Ending, also called Belmont’s Fall, is the first of the game’s three endings you can get. It happens when Rose walks into Death’s trap at the top of the Clock Tower while the Cursed Horologium is still running.
How to Get the Bad Ending

- Follow the main story until you reach Dracula’s Castle.
- Work through the Library and the Clock Tower until you arrive at the Clock Tower Bridge.
- Walk up to the huge glowing clock, the Cursed Horologium.
- Your companions will warn Rose about the danger. Ignore them and keep heading for the passage on the left.
- Leave the clock running. Do not stop it with Soul Harvest.
- Go into the false Master’s Quarters and face Dracula.
- Play through the scripted encounter until the Bad Ending starts.
Death’s trap claims Rose and the curse consumes her. The Bad Ending sequence plays, and you earn the Belmont’s Fall trophy or achievement. You also unlock Cursed’s Outfit, a cosmetic skin that shows Rose’s corrupted look.
Important: Your playthrough does not end here. When the credits finish, pick Resume to go back to your save near the Clock Tower and carry on with the story.
Already disabled the Cursed Horologium? Equip The Shadow Arcana and interact with the clock again to turn it back on. Check that the trap is active before you take the false route.
