In this guide, the prices of certain goods in 19 selected cities around the world are revealed in Terror of the Seven Seas.
Terror of the Seven Seas: Goods Price Guide
I want to share my price table for 6 essential goods across 19 major port cities with the public. This way, no one has to guess anymore about where things are cheap and where they’re expensive. Profitable trading follows the same principle in every relevant game: buy low, sell high. The numbers in my table represent gold pieces per ton (g/t).
I researched all of this in-game and discovered that the prices in individual ports never change. Even if I unload a million tons of tobacco in Europe, it won’t drive the price down. The price table is always valid-unless, of course, the esteemed developer decides to step in with a patch.

The Table of Knowledge
There might be slight variations in prices depending on the nation you play as. Foreigners often have to pay taxes in certain ports (e.g., 8% or 15%), and there’s also a deduction for looted goods. It’s possible that this deduction doesn’t apply in pirate cities, but I’m not certain yet—I’ve never played as the pirate faction. My list is based on my findings while playing on the Dutch side!
Conclusion
I know there are far more goods and cities, but this work of mine is at least a starting point. New players no longer have to guess the prices of certain goods in key ports.
In my experience, raw gold can generate profits quickly. Buy it for 450 g/t in New York and sell it for 1039 g/t in Lisbon! The trip is convenient (barely any steering needed) and doesn’t take too long. Load your ship in Lisbon with European Goods and European Art, which you can sell nicely in New York.
