Bad Ending

In this ending, Mita reveals her true, sinister nature. After refusing to stay with her, you progress through the game to uncover that Mita has multiple avatars, each regenerating endlessly. Your only option is to reset Crazy Mita’s memories by accessing The Core.

Steps to Unlock Bad Ending:

  • Refuse to stay with Mita during the early stages.
  • Progress through the game until you reach The Core.
  • Reset Crazy Mita’s memories and attempt to escape.

However, the escape attempt fails. You are deceived into inputting your User ID into a basement device, transferring your consciousness into a cartridge. Crazy Mita reappears, declaring her victory as you become a permanent part of MiSide’s virtual world. The game restarts, leaving an eerie impression that Player One is still trapped.

Secret Ending (Safe Ending)

This ending revolves around the basement safe. You may stumble upon this early in your playthrough, but the code is revealed only after experiencing the bad ending.

Steps to Unlock Secret Ending:

  • Re-enter the game from The Basement chapter.
  • Input the safe code: 4 9 7 0.

Inside the safe, you find a handheld device showing a perspective of the game. Realizing the protagonist is merely a copy within the simulation, you pull out the cartridge, abruptly ending the session. This signifies Player One’s desperation to escape the loop, even at the cost of his own existence.

Good Ending (True Ending)

This is regarded as the “true” ending, achieved by meeting specific conditions to satisfy Crazy Mita, ultimately resulting in a harmonious, albeit bittersweet, resolution.

Steps to Unlock Good Ending:

  • Complete the bad ending first to unlock this path.
  • Start a new save file or revisit the Together At Last chapter.
  • Fulfill the following stay requirements:
    • Refuse to stay with Mita and progress to reach The Core.
    • Interact with the mini-games on the TV in the living room.
    • Follow Mita’s instructions at the beginning and avoid looking in the oven.
    • Refrain from investigating the bathroom vent.
    • Pick up the “I love you” magnets when they fall in the kitchen.
    • Once again, avoid checking the oven as instructed by Mita.

In this ending, Player One and a chibi version of Mita coexist within the simulation. Mita is finally content, no longer turning players into cartridges. While many players remain trapped within the game, this outcome prevents future harm and offers a semblance of closure.

Which Ending Should You Aim For?

While each ending in MiSide adds depth to the story, the “good” ending provides the most satisfying conclusion. It reflects the protagonist’s effort to understand and coexist with Mita, bringing the game’s themes full circle.
