Main rules of placement.

Small on Big, Not Big on Small

Terrain as a Base:
You can place items like fences, beams, columns, staves, rocks, and more directly on the terrain, while ropes can also connect to it. However, planks cannot be connected directly to the terrain.

Stave Placement Hierarchy:
Larger staves can hold smaller staves, ropes, planks, and other items, but smaller staves cannot support larger ones.

Take advantage of shapes

When placing items, precision depends on your mouse position. For building square or rectangular structures, using square beams provides the best alignment.

If you want to create a complex-shaped structure, it’s easier to work with round beams.:

Mass placement for fences

When you place massively sharpen pole or small fence don’t forget that you can create a complex curve using key X.

  • 2 points on terrain – you have a line. Click third time and you see a curve. You can adjust it moving handles or deleting points you don’t need. Once you’re satisfied with the shape, press the X key to lock the curve in place.
  • You can adjust random placement parameters via the popup sliders and place the items, or continue building the curve.

This allows you to create a long curve with varying shapes along its length.

Catamaran

Catamaran Reserved Space

The catamaran has transparent boxes that prevent item placement in certain areas. These spaces are reserved for the character:

Oar Mechanics

Oars allow you to rotate the ship. The more oars you have, the faster the ship will rotate.

Sail Mechanics

Sails have multiple degrees of rotation, allowing them to adjust and catch the wind. However, if you attach an item like a rope or planks to a sail, it will stop rotating. The more sails you have, the faster your ship will move.

Items with Actions (cannon, sail, oar)

Certain items have specific functions. For example, cannons can fire, and sails can be raised or lowered. In the item details, you will see the default action key assigned to each function:

After placing an item, if you want to assign a different key for its action, click on the “Actions” button located in the top panel, to the left of the “Save” button:
