Human Fall Flat: Hike Achievement Guide
How to complete all achievements for the new level, Hike of Human Fall Flat.
Prepared for Winter
At the start of the level, you will fall into a house, breaking the staircase. This achievement involves moving the barrel outside the house into the cellar nearby.
To begin: In the yellow hallway of the house, you’ll find a shelf with a mallet on it. You’ll need this tool. Open the door to this hallway and proceed into a small blue room containing a ladder.
Note: If you are skilled at wall climbing, you can bypass the ladder by grabbing the shelf and swinging directly to retrieve the mallet.
Take the ladder back into the yellow room, where you’ll find the shelf next to the first door you opened. Grab the mallet from the shelf and head into the room directly across from you (you’ll need to open another door). Inside, you’ll find a mattress-grab and move it to uncover the trapdoor beneath.
Use the mallet to break the lock on the trapdoor. Once it’s broken, open the trapdoor and carefully drop down. Jump over the large gap in the floor to reach the cellar. Throwing a barrel or two will open the door at the far end of the room.
Human Thawed Flat
Progress through the level until you reach the campfire past the rope bridge.
Note: I may add a full tutorial for this level in the future.
There should be a torch in the fire. Grab it and take it on an adventure up the hill to your right. There are two entrances to the same cave, and either path will work! Turning left and walking uphill will lead you to the upper entrance (there’s an orange flashlight beside it), while jumping the rock and walking further uphill will take you to the lower entrance.
Once inside the cave, you’ll encounter multiple paths. After walking a bit, the cave will fork into three directions. For this achievement, take the path that goes up the flow of water. The path will vary depending on which entrance you used. Don’t worry about dropping the torch or drowning-it will stay lit underwater, and the water stays shallow.
When the path opens, use your torch to melt the large piece of ice to the right of the waterfall. Inside the ice, you’ll see a white silhouette. Once the ice is melted, the achievement should pop. Congratulations!
Speed Skating
This achievement is fairly straightforward but may take a few attempts. Progress through the level until you zipline down towards a small cottage with a Human statue beside it. The glacier is located down the stairs to the left. The goal is to complete 3 laps around the glacier in under 60 seconds-go as fast as possible without falling off.
I found that aiming at the inner wall when rounding corners was super helpful. If you’re familiar with the sliding mechanics in the game, it shouldn’t take too long. The achievement should pop by the stairs on the 3rd lap.
A Leisurely Stroll
The final achievement, as usual, is for completing the full level.
