How to Upgrade Nick Valentine Outfit
Requirements
Faded Trench Coat
- Obtained after completing the “Unlikely Valentine” quest.
- Rescue Nick, return him to his office in Diamond City, and Ellie Perkins will offer you a partnership, giving you Nick’s outfit.
Ballistic Weave Modification
- Unlocked by completing the “Jackpot” missions from P.A.M. of The Railroad.
- After finishing the mission, visit Tinker Tom to learn how to apply Ballistic Weave to clothing.
Armorer Perk (Level 4)
- Required to maximize the upgrade potential of Nick’s outfit.
Upgrade
Bring “Faded Trench Coat” to armor workbench, and apply Ballistic Weave Mark V.
Do trade with nick and give the Armored Faded Trench Coat to nick, and you will see nick able to equip it.
And here you go, Nick outfit already got upgraded. He now more durable to taking damage from bullet and melee weapon. You now can give him melee weapon to make him rush and knock the enemy.
As bonus, upgrading him somehow will fix his hand. make him have better looks now.
